Social Distancing
I'd be lying if I said my anxiety wasn't all the way turnt up!
Between navigating this new normal along with work stress (I work in public education) and the stress associated with having a chronically ill loved one, I've had moments when I haven't been my best.
But one thing I am learning is to give myself some grace and I am asking you to do the same.
During this time of social distancing, two friends have mentioned practicing routines as a way to navigate these unusual times. To ensure I don't end up on the wrong side of this, here are some things I am going to do -
Exercise - This is the best stress reliever. While I won't be going to bootcamp like I usually do, I will take walks at the park and go for a run whenever I can. One thing is for sure, staying in this house isn't going to cut it. With that said...
Backyard Time - Thank God I have a backyard! As long as the bugs aren't biting and it's not super cold, I plan on spending time in my yard. I've already seen my neighbors doing the same thing. I'm secretly hoping one of my neighbors cuts my grass.
Spring Cleaning - Spring is coming! I plan to use this time to get ready for the next season. I have a few home projects I've been delaying and now I have plenty of time to work on them. PLENTY!
Relaxing - Maybe this is a reminder to relax and take care of myself. I'm going to spend some time in reflection, and definitely meditation because this is A LOT but I want to come out better than before.
What are you going to do during this time? Even if you only have 10 minutes to yourself, what are you going to do with those 10 minutes?
Inquiring minds want to know! Please share below. We need to help each other make it to the other side!
Happy Waiting - And - Happy Social Distancing!
